No More Preaching to the Choir—It’s Time to Show Up, Changemakers

Most of the tim the people who show up to “diversity panels” aren’t those with power to make real change in their newsrooms—it’s the choir. Let’s target and reach out to executive leadership, and other folks with hiring power, in advance of the conference.

Very much inspired by past, more hands-on ONA workshops about diversity and inclusion, this session will focus on actionables—things folks can actively start doing *today* to test their own biases and actively consider intersectionality. Takeaways will be tangible. And I’d like to think about a way to check back in with folks down the road in an attempt to track the impact (if any) of the session/workshop.
