Josh Resnik is the Chief Content Officer and SVP/Publisher at FiscalNote, where he spearheads the company’s strategy for producing, distributing, and monetizing content across recently-acquired CQ Roll Call’s platforms in a rapidly evolving media landscape.
Following the $180-million acquisition of CQ Roll Call by FiscalNote, Josh has led the strategic integration of the two brands to ensure an endurable publishing model with a larger goal of redefining the way information is gathered and shared in Washington and other global capitals. Josh is a strong spokesperson on the evolution of media and the future of publishing in the face of drastic industry upheavals and shifts.
At the forefront of Josh’s editorial and publishing revitalization strategy is the integration of FiscalNote’s advanced technology into its editorial teams to enhance reporting capabilities and content production. With AI and natural language processing, FiscalNote’s editorial arm at CQ Roll Call is transforming how media companies analyze and distribute content by leveraging FiscalNote’s expansive global government data, analytics and tools to reformulate yesterday’s media model. Josh is no stranger to innovation and has led first-of-its-kind initiatives throughout his 20-plus-year media career, previously leading the Digital division at Gannett, then the largest newspaper owner and one of the largest TV station owners in the United States. Josh also leads the design of CQ Roll Call’s strategic licensing and distribution partnerships.
As new media becomes old and traditional media becomes new again, Josh is marrying the two worlds and redefining the future of the industry as we know it.
