Amy Walker teaches undergraduate and graduate journalism courses on digital reporting and design, investigative reporting, emerging technology and community engagement. She is currently working with students to experiment with engagement techniques and report on food insecurity for The New Haven Independent as part of an ONA Challenge Grant (see hamdenhungerproject.com). Previously, she worked as a New York Times journalist on data-driven stories and multimedia. She has also helped the Times newsroom recruit for special projects, including a daily 360 video initiative.
