Got an issue at work or want to put together a game plan to advance your career? In this session, we will talk through and help you get what you need the most to make the next great thing happen for your career. We'll kick it off at 2:30 with a group discussion to brainstorm ways we can help each other reach our career goals.
Facilitating inclusive community spaces: 3:30-4 with Lam, Erika, Lo, Sisi and Julia
Do you have questions about how to convene a virtual or in person event that is inclusive and welcoming? Come chat with OJA Community Award recipients about lessons from the JOC Slack and OpenNews communities. Starting at 3:30, we'll have a facilitated chat with recipients with time for your questions, too.
Salary corner: 4-4:50 with Lam
We're gonna gather up post its of real salaries to bring visibility to what is out there. Come and share your salary, your questions about negotiation, and your experiences with salary and getting a new job. Starting at 4, we'll have a facilitated discussion based on what folks have shared. We will also share salary information from official sources: union contracts, union studies and 990 filings.
