Hands-on Machine Learning for Journalists

Providing practical, hands-on experience using machine learning to manage documents, images and data records, this 90-minute training session will also give attendees the chance to use third-party tools, apply machine-learning code and make their own discoveries in raw data.

NB: Attendees should bring a laptop

This session is designed for:

  • Anyone who's ever faced a huge pile of data and *known* there was information in there
  • Newsrooms interested in updating their machine learning capabilities
  • Data journalists looking to bring new techniques to their analyses
