Catherine Green

Catherine Green (you can call her Caty) is the engagement editor at Chalkbeat, an education reporting news nonprofit. Previously, she was a senior editor at The New Republic, managing editor for TheAtlantic.com, deputy editor and engagement editor at Voice of San Diego, a business reporting fellow at the Los Angeles Times, and interim news editor and editorial assistant at NUVO, the alt-weekly in her hometown of Indianapolis. She earned her master's degree in journalism from USC's Annenberg School in 2013 and her bachelor's degree in rhetoric, of all things, at Bates College in 2010.
