The Help Desk is also available these hours to help with your questions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 5-9 p.m.;<\/li>\n<li>Thursday, Sept. 12, from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.;<\/li>\n<li>Friday, Sept. 13, from 9 a.m.-5:30 p.m.;<\/li>\n<li>and Saturday, Sept. 14, from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Transportation<\/h2>\n<h3>Getting to New Orleans<\/h3>\n<p>New Orleans has a variety of air and rail options for getting into the city, with transportation services that connect to the Sheraton New Orleans, our host hotel.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flymsy.com\/\">Louis Armstrong International Airport<\/a> (MSY) is about 15 miles \u2014a 30-40-minute drive \u2014 from our host hotel. A new airport terminal is expected to open in May 2019, in advance of our conference. Transport options to get you from the airport to downtown New Orleans include buses, shuttles, taxis, ride shares and car rentals.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Two mass transit services offer buses downtown from Louie Armstrong International Airport. The Regional Transit Authority offers the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.norta.com\/Maps-Schedules\/System-Map\/Line.aspx?ID=202\">Airport Express 202<\/a> drops passengers off at Elk Place + Canal Street, approximately a 12-minute walk from the host hotel and costs $1.50. Jefferson Transit\u2019s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jeffersontransit.org\/e2airport.php\">E2 Airport Route<\/a> is $2 and drops people off at Loyola Ave. and Tulane Ave. on weekdays, also a 12-minute walk from the host hotel; however, <i>please note that on weekends, this option stops significantly farther away at Tulane Ave. and S. Carrolton Ave. <\/i><b>Please be sure to check the links above for service changes or disruptions.<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Shuttle service is available from the airport to the host hotel via \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.airportshuttleneworleans.com\/\">www.airportshuttleneworleans.com<\/a>. Tickets are $24 per person each way. Tickets can be purchased in advance online, or at ticket booths in the baggage claim area. Those needing Wheelchair-Accessible Service should also call 1-866-596-2699 for assistance.<\/li>\n<li>Taxis are available outside the airport baggage claim area on the ground floor. Visitors should expect to pay $36-40 for taxi transfers from the airport and downtown New Orleans for 1-2 people, and $15 per person for 3 passengers. Booking fees are waived for ONA19 reservations.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that travel must be booked between Sept. 5-20, 2019, to receive the discount.<\/p>\n<p><em>ONA would like to thank United Airlines for its generous support of ONA19.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Amtrak<\/h3>\n<p>Amtrak offers routes to New Orleans from a number of cities across the country.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From the Midwest, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amtrak.com\/city-of-new-orleans-train\">City of New Orleans<\/a> offers daily service originating in Chicago with stops in Carbondale, Ill., Memphis, Jackson, Miss., and additional towns in between.<\/li>\n<li>From the East Coast, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amtrak.com\/crescent-train\">Crescent line<\/a> offers daily service originating in New York City at Penn Station, with stops in Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Charlotte, Atlanta, Birmingham, Meridian, Miss., and additional towns in between.<\/li>\n<li>From the West Coast, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amtrak.com\/sunset-limited-train\">Sunset Limited<\/a> departs three days a week from Los Angeles, with stops in Tucson, San Antonio and Houston and additional towns in between.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Getting Around<\/h3>\n<p>Downtown New Orleans is pedestrian friendly, with many activities and attractions within comfortable walking distance of the host hotel. Additionally, New Orleans offers iconic streetcars, bike rentals and buses.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.norta.com\/\">Regional Transit Authority<\/a> is the city\u2019s public transportation provider. You can find detailed information about using the city\u2019s streetcars and buses on their website. You can also buy passes in advance and download their travel app.<\/li>\n<li>For those with limited mobility, the city\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/transportation\/handicap-accessible\/\">convention and visitor\u2019s bureau<\/a> offers detailed information on access to buses and streetcars, as well as wheelchair rentals.<\/li>\n<li>New Orleans offers standard bicycle rental companies, as well as bike shares throughout the city. You can learn more about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.neworleans.com\/plan\/transportation\/bike-new-orleans\/\">bike rental companies here<\/a>, and check out bike sharing at <a href=\"https:\/\/bluebikesnola.com\/\">Blue Bikes<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>For rideshares, Uber and Lyft both serve the greater metro area.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Parking<\/h3>\n<p>While the hotel has on-site parking, in general downtown parking is limited.
